Like a storybook ...

San Candido back then.

Thousands of years ago. The Celts settle in the late Bronze Age in the landscape scenery framed by the Dolomites. Fast forward. In 769 AD, Duke Tassilo III of Bavaria played a decisive role in the establishment of a monastery. A cultural centre was created. A town, now known as San Candido is born.

San Candido today.

The oldest community in South Tyrol guards some hidden and mysterious treasures. At the foot of the majestic Monte Baranci, lies the village just like an idyllic picture postcard. The traffic-calmed centre not only charms with its quaint alleys and boutiques, but also with its historical past.
